Preparing the Feeds Address

The first steps is to prepare the feed address from blog or website which you want subscribe the feeds. It’s very simple, just visit your favorite blogs or websites.

Generally, almost all websites or blogs provide the feed facilities that using icon as follows:

You just need to copy the link from the icon. Or you can also see what kind of platform used in blog. For blogs using wordpress platform, the feed address as follows:

http://example.com/feed

The feed address is the domain name plus an additional address in the form of /feed.

For example this blog address is http://www.howtoinblogger.com/ and using wordpress platform, so the feed address should be:

http://www.howtoinblogger.com/feed

For blogs using blogger platform, there is some formats of feed address:

http://example.blogspot.com/atom.xml
http://example.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
http://example.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

Or if the blogs using custom domain, the formats of feed address as follows:

http://example.com/atom.xml
http://example.com/feeds/posts/default
http://example.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

Foe example, if the blog address is http://www.blogspottutorial.com/ and using blogger platform, then the feed address will be as follows:

http://www.blogspottutorial.com/atom.xml

Remember! You can put the feed addresses on Google Reader in large amount, therefore the advantages of reading contents by feed reader is able to read many blogs in one place.
